“Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability.”:
Hello, bloglings! The Tropical Summer event is still going and Aisling released this very provocative swimsuit at the event. The wet texture is only available as a bonus in the fatpack, so you know what you have to do.
Enjoy your summer and clickety-click fore the full credits:
Nature rarely takes notice when a throne sits empty. The trees still stretch their limbs towards the sky, and unfurl their leaves in the Spring. Grasses still grow plush and verdant along the ground. The sun still paints the sky with strange colors in the dawn.
So, when the long standing Elven queen took her last breath and emptied the throne, it seemed very odd to the deer that the Elves should be so concerned. But deer know nothing about the peaceful transfer of power (and the fear of wars) or the nature of governments and diplomacy. They do not know about the struggle for power after an heirless queen ascends to the ethereal plane. Nor the way a new monarch might use or abuse the throne. Nor do they know about alliances and treaties between states.
Deer know many things. They know of the soft earth under their hooves; they know the sweet taste of spring grass; they know the warmth of the serotinal sun; they know the crispness of heavy snow on the ground..They also know that the elves may fret, but the seasons will still cycle and the sun will still warm their backs in the summer.
Hello, bloglings! We Love Roleplay opens its doors again tomorrow on the fourth. With this comes two beautiful new home and garden pieces. First, this beautiful Elven throne perched atop rocks. The throne appears to be crafted from growing trees, with their roots curling around the rocks. It is beautifully detailed. Another beautifully detailed item are the Thorn Fantasy Lamps from Elysium with elegantly swirling pole and texture change available on the glass globe. They are also scripted to vary their lighting.
Don’t forget to stop by this round; it promises beautiful things. Also, check the Christmas trees for your Christmas present. ❤
Eyelids fluttered shut against pale cheeks, removing her from the stage. Instead, she was there in the forest. The painted particle board became large, ancient tress that bowed over her graciously. The hard surface of the stage became soft, warm earth covered in plush grass beneath her bare feet. She heard birds chittering in the distance.
Palms of trembling hands smoothed over the thick velvet of her gown. They moved slowly, first over her bodice then down her skirt overflowing with a pettiskirt. As they traveled, the trembling slowly abated.
She remembered back to her childhood. Dressed in a plastic tiara and bits of clothes she found at yard sales, she pretended to be a princess. Other childred mocked her. They told her that trash could never be royalty. And now she was pretending again. A smile alighted on her face; it revealed itself more in her cheeks than her lips. She pretended to be many things as a child. She would continue to do the same as an adult on stage.
Retroville Gacha opens on the 15th and DRD is releasing this really cute studio set. The insert that I used on the stage that looks like a play set is one of many different sceneries available in the gacha: forest, castle, sci-fi, a street, western town, etc. All of them look pretty phenomenal. There is also a studio building for you to put one in at a time and a casting couch and director’s chair as rares. It is a really lovely set.
This Pixicat dress is a new release at We Love Roleplay. It is sumptuously detailed for nobility, exactly as intended. Look at the backs of the sleeves! Also, at We Love Roleplay this round is a beautiful hair from Elikatira. It has a side braid and comes with a lovely circlet. Circlets are my favorite!
I took this picture a few weeks ago. I apologize for my delay in posting. I’ve been really low and have been finding it difficult to find the energy and the desire to do much of anything. An upswing is certainly on the way, though. I do miss mah lil bloglings!
Mizu is this lovely event that recently opened. Not only are there beautiful things there to purchase, but there is a storyline to follow. Put on the HUD and experience the story; it is lovely. All the details and the LM are on Mizu‘s website (in both Japanese and English). While there, I grabbed this lovely kimono by Silvery K and a few deco items. The kimoni is really beautifully made.
Also, still going is the June round of We Love Roleplay. Tableau Vivant made lovely hair, as usual. It is long and chunky; she calls them faux dreads. These pavers from Stormwood are also being released this month. They are beautifully textured, come with different configurations and each has a grass version (which I love).
She was very good at discovering what people needed. They always had needs – love, ambition, wealth. She didn’t even search them out, they came to her. The poor, desperate souls came begging. They usually clutched tiny coin purses filled with the currency of men, trite ramblings filled the air around them as they hoped for pity. But her face was not one that reflected pity or empathy. She was, afterall, a businesswoman but she did not deal in gold or coins that promised something from a government she did not recognize. No, she required something far more valuable. it was strange that the humans themselves did not value it.
Cold, apathetic eyes glanced over at the dark stone figure as she finished casting. The sky had grown dark. Even the earth understood the deeds of this woman, yet, human greed and desire always overcame their ability to reason.
Bloggettes! So many wonderful events are happening right now, it is difficult to keep up with all of them. Of course, the anniversary round of We Love Roleplay (WLRP) is still going. At the event aisling is releasing this beautiful dress called hierophant. It comes with a HUD to color change different parts of it and is very well details (aisling always is).
Most of these decor items were from gachas at The Fantasy Gacha Carnival (FGC). The themes this round are goth, demon, elf, black caste, and urt. There are ons of dark decor items that are really beautifully made. This round ends June 5th, so don’t forget to stop over by then.
I always like to pop over to The Dressing Room Fusion (TDRF) to see if there are some discount items I can snatch up for my alt; she lives on a budget. When I was there, I found this lovely lace collar from Scrub. The horned hood actually comes with a high collar, but I really liked the lace detailing on this one.
The Secret Affair has also begun and is where I found these cuffs by Kibitz. They’re simple and well textured. Sometimes, that is all you need.
Also released at We ♥ RP was this cap and horns by Meva. It is perfectly villainous and fits the Lelutka head very snugly.
She fluttered her wings restlessly as she heaved a sigh, looking down over the edge of the cloud. The flicker birds played around her, swooping and chasing each other. They flashed their tiny flames through the fog of the early morning light. Absentmindedly, she motioned towards them to calm down. But it was a wasted gesture, as flicker birds do not listen, not to fae, not even to gods. Annoyed, another sigh snuck through her lips as her eyes remained on the ground far below.
“Silly humans,” she thought with a giggle. Her laughter tinkled like a wind chime and tickled the bellies of the flicker birds. The birds continued their acrobatics in the air with each other, but with more vigor. She shook her head in disbelief, another round of giggles freeing itself from her belly. “Oh, The stories they tell down there! Do they really believe such things?” With a deft motion of her wrist, she closed the gap in the cloud beneath her, hiding the world below from her view. “Humans really do believe the silliest of things,” she laughed again, at no one in particular. “Science, they call it,” she said with a final shake of her head.
So many lovely things at Colalbor88 this round. If you love pastels, then stop reading and teleport over there right now! Also,t here are actually two things from the Dark Style Fair in this post. I know it is difficult to believe. 🙂
Tag Gacha has begun! Tag Gacha is a fun event which requires you to visit a bunch of store locations, play gachas (if you wish), tag their board and get secret items with rare coupons from the matchines. You can read all about it on their website.
Remember when I said I had a surprise for you a few posts back? Well, I didn’t forget! I’ve just been working on it (and maybe procrastinating a bit). It is my first decorating post!
I chose a skydome from Poetica in which to establish my scene. The theme was to be a greenhouse which housed Spring engulfed in Winter. I have always loved greenhouses and the beauty of SL is being able to take non-traditional living spaces and turning them into homes.
Style Notes: I removed most of the trees that came with the skydome except the two entry trees that you see here with the lanterns. The skydome also comes complete with the pathway and the snowdrifts. I then filled in the area with my own trees from Botanical and Alirium. The grasses are also from Alirium. The greenhouse that I chose is a large greenhouse from Frog’s Garden. It may take me a few days to get the landmarks to all the new stores up on my Store Directory, if you need one, please don’t hesitate to ask.
This is a closer view of outside the greenhouse in the winter atmosphere. I love the way the winter grasses from Alirium make the ground look almost heavy with fog.
Style Notes: The long table is one of the Tea House Tables from Turnip’s along with a stool from iTuTu. The cupcake platter is from Circa and the coffee is by Apple Fall.
This is Spring-the interior of the greenhouse. I wanted a nice, casual seating arrangement.
Style Notes: Behind the bookshelves are sculpted big trees from nocc and the grass if from Garden of Dreams. The white bookcases are by Lo momo (the books come with them), the blue ones are from Theosophy (now closed), and the leaning door shelf is from Tatty Soup. The couch is by Lame and the two armchairs are by Cheeky Pea at this round of Collabor88. The coffee table comes from Y’s House. The two plants on the coffee table are from Art Dummy. Both the large plants–the aloe and the croton plant–are from The Loft as well as a small aloe plant on the bookshelf. The two floral vases (on the the end table and the other on the floor) are from JoHaDeZ. The small aloe plant on the blue bookshelf is from Dirty Deeds. The teapot and love bird drawing are from Zigana.
Style Notes: On either side of the entryway are two cherry blossom trees by Botanical, encircled by Lisp benches. The rug is from Digs.
This has been a long post but I hope you guys enjoyed it! If I missed anything just let me know and I will answer any questions you have. 🙂
