“The rain to the wind said,
You push and I’ll pelt.’
They so smote the garden bed
That the flowers actually knelt,
And lay lodged–though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt.”
― Robert Frost
I only know Roxi Firanelli through her photography and blog, but it is a beautiful way to come to know someone…if distant. I cannot pretend to understand her loss and her pain. Although, I do understand loss and pain as we all do. For more information, please read Duchesss Flux‘s post. To support Roxi in her time of loss please visit the dock at Nymphai where you can release a luminary and purchase this lovely and delicate necklace to help with her son’s funeral expenses.
“It’s not that we have to quit this life one day, but it’s how many things we have to quit all at once: music, laughter, the physics of falling leaves, automobiles, holding hands, the scent of rain, the concept of subway trains… if only one could leave this life slowly!”
― Roman Payne, Rooftop Soliloquy
I took this photo a bit ago. I love classic villains. Strong women with evil intentions. Malificent (even before the Angelina Jolie movie) has always been brilliantly evil to me. Although, Sleeping Beauty was always the best of the classic Disney princess movies. I loved the style of the animation. Anyhow, I suppose I have more of a Snow White’s evil queen here.
Bloglings! More Pose Fair goodies coming to you as a collaboration between Exposeur and Handverk. Exposeur made these poses and Handverk made the parasols to go with the poses (each sold separately) and they are amazing.
The pack of umbrellas come with 5 pastel colored umbrellas to coordinate with the female poses, 1 black umbrella for the couples pose, and a plaid umbrella for the male poses.
Ilaya also released a couples pose called Bonnie and Clyde, which includes the gun attachment. My Bonnie and Clyde are very posh because I was a bit lazy and didn’t feel like changing clothes again. 🙂
Hewwo Bloglings! I picked up this little dress from a friend the other day, isn’t is lovely? I absolutely love paisley; there just isn’t enough paisley in world. 🙂 I paired it with my favorite scarf from tram (I know I wear it a lot, but it is perfect, bloggettes) and some spiked shoes from FANATIK (be careful around these ones, they’re dangerous).
Style notes: This dress by Context comes with a HUD for up to five texture changes.
And Bloggettes, pleae don’t forget that the skin fair starts on March 15th. The owner of Tokyo Girl was kind enough to give me a review copy of this pretty skin. Isn’t Amelia lovely? Her features are nice and soft. Though she looks young, she doesn’t look *too* young. Also, the clavicle and throat are beautifully done.
I will be previewing a bunch of other items for the Skin Fair in the next few days, so keep reading. 🙂
Skin Notes: Amelia comes in the five skin tones shown here. Starting at the large left photo and going in a clockwise direction they are as follows: Natural, Tanned, Sunkissed, Pale, Fair. It also comes with Lolas Tango appliers, if you prefer a curvier figure; shapes, and five colors of eyes. Enjoy being pretty Bloglings!
I finally dug this dress out of the depths of my inventory to blog. I absolutely love the vintage feel and strange colors. It reminds me of digging through dusty bins at the thrift store hoping to find that one perfect piece that will make the hours (and the strange smell of decaying fabric mixed with mothballs) worthwhile. Luckily, searching through a SecondLife inventory is much cleaner. Unfortunately, it lacks the same nostalgia.
Style Noes: This dress by Yulicie also comes in a black and white version and if I recall correctly it is just as adorable as this one (if you can believe it). I picked these little earrings up at this weeks Dressing Room Fusion and they come in a package of 12 colors (if I can count correctly). Furthermore, this is an old cuff bracelet by W&B but if you don’t have it in your inventory yet, you should. It is cheap and you can click it to change it to up to 14 colors.
MichaMi just released this new dress which is absolutely beautiful. The brocade texturing is divine and the structure of the mesh is interesting and unique. It is using mesh in a way that couldn’t be done with the previous methods, which is the point. Am I gushing? I’m gushing, but you probably will be also once you pick it up. And you are going to break down and buy it, aren’t you?
I paired it with jewelry from Cae that came from the With Love Hunt, which ends in a couple days. If you haven’t found your goodies, do it quickly. Refer to the December 12th post for the necessary links.
Furthermore, I took my photos today at the World’s End Garden, which is an absolutely beautiful sim. You should spend some time there. Don’t forget to find the doors to teleport to the different areas. It is lovely.
A friend of mine hosted a gender bending party on Friday night and I couldn’t help myself. I decided to be a bit of an over achiever. I put Mister Muse together in a single day and I think he turned out pretty damn well (even if I do say so myself).
I’m feeling peachy today because I bought these skirts from Cracked Mirror at FaMESHed. They are lovely and each skirt comes in three different belt color choices. I bought the fat pack. I’m not saying you should, or that you’ll regret it if you don’t, or that it is a better deal and you’re going to want all of them anyhow so you might as well do it. I’m just saying that *I* bought the fat pack.
