Down the Rabbit Hole – The Kawaii Project, Hair Fair, Wayward Carnival

Hello Bloglings! I absolutely love Alice in Wonderland, as cliche as that may be. The word and logic games are terribly fun and it has such a cute cult culture following. Also, the concept of wonderland seems so terribly relevant to SecondLife itself, where things sometimes only make sense within this sphere.

Down the rabbit hole.

So, this round of the Kawaii Project is Wonderland themed. And one of my favorite items this round is a hair with ears from LCKY. I am actually wearing another hair with the ears in this photo, but the set is really lovely. And the ears! They come with an up and down version, and a pierced and non-pierced version. So many options!

I am wearing a lovely tousled hair from Tableau Vivant, which was released at Hair Fair. Hair Fair ends on the 26th, so get your junk together and hop over there if you haven’t already. Stop by each shop and click on the 10 for a giftie from the merchant.

Hop, hop, hop!    There is also this really cute dress from le fil casse at Kawaii. I like that it is really cute but not too lolita-eque. It is really difficult to find a lovely color tattoo, but antielle does work. I have this one that I found at Kawaii below and I also photograph another one last week for my flickr was was quite lovely. Tea?

I’ve got stories to tell. The most interesting could be yours.

I've got stories to tell.

I’m a little late, bloglings, but We ♥ RP is open! They have some lovely furniture stuffs this round by Zerkalo, aisling, and Ex Machina. The shelves by aisling and Ex Machina are beautifully detailed, and I love the clusters of candles from aisling. They come with different configurations so you can move them around at your whim (and I have many whims!).

Also! The Birdy sim is now open! We’ve waited forever and for our patience we have been given lovely group gifts. If you haven’t heard or you haven’t stopped by their sim, do it now. You may have missed some lovely items from different events and now you can pick them up. I picked up this beautiful top and skirt. I don’t know how I missed them before.

I've got stories to tell.

(Click on photos to visit my flickr and see larger images.)

And, also, if you haven’t heard the new Lelutka sim is opened. Honestly, if you haven’t heard, I’m not sure where you’ve been. But you should come out from under that rock and go to their new sim because they have three lovely mesh heads available which are made to be compatible with the Maitreya body and for which you can buy appliers from Glam Affair! I’m just going to assume I can hear the *whoosh* of the teleport right now as you’re being whisked away to try demos and get your free gifts!

LotD 122: Peaceful

LotD 122

The same day and another post, my little bloglings. This is just a mash-up of things already in my inventory, plus this cardigan which isn’t new but is from a new-to-me store called Little Bones that a friend of mine told me about. Enjoy being pretty bloggettes.

LotD 112: Fashion Addition

LotD 112

Bloggettes, I swear this jacket and skirt were new when I purchased them. I just couldn’t find the right outfit to put together. And yesterday, stumbling around in my inventory, I happened across them again and put two and two together (sometimes I’m a bit slow, my lil bloglings) and out came a very fashionable four. My calculations aren’t always timely, but I like to think when they’re done, they’re often elegant solutions to the problem. LotD 112

Style Notes: This skirt from HOC Industries comes with a texture change HUD and if you are a member of their group, you can unlock extra textures (extra is always good!). Furthermore, these shoes come in two bright colors (at the store location) and if you go to Stuff in Stock, you can also get them in black and white (my point being, go to Stuff in Stock).

Hello Blogettes! Another day and another look. 🙂 I do love argyle and this one features an adorable sweater in argyle that includes the turtleneck underneath attached. Furthermore, are these new boots from grasp, which have just amazing detail on them. Please go try a demo out; they are certainly worth a try.

Triple Play: Tram Cable Knit Sweater

Triple Play: Tram Cable Knit Sweater

Hello Bloglings! I felt a bit ambitious last night and put together three looks for you again today, each featuring the new cable knit pullover from Tram. This first look is a nice sweet look in soft yellow and also features the new skinny pants released by Tram. I was told I look like a librarian from 1953 when I wore this! I’m taking that as a compliment of the highest degree.

In a much different direction, I paired the brown sweater with an orange pencil skirt from Maitreya. Furthermore, these new bags from BSD at Fashion Week are just overflowing with details.

Triple Play: Tram Cable Knit Sweater

A nice casual look with nothing particularly new, except the jewelery from Maxi Gossamer (I don’t need to tell you that it is of premium quality, do I?) which appears at this round of Collabor88.

Style Notes: These new sweaters from Tram come in ten (ten!) colors. When you purchase it you will get two version, one with the lacy bit on the shoulders and one without (the first photo has it with and the next two feature it without). The adorable floral skinny pants come in six pastel tones.

Triple Play: FANATIK leather mini

My first Triple Play was in September and I thought it would only be a LOTD that happened to feature three looks, but just recently I did another one and now I’m going to do it again. I think this is going to be a new category for two reasons: mostly because I enjoy it but equally important is because it exemplifies how versatile specific pieces are and, therefore, how useful they can be. When this happens, maybe you are more likely to see them on your own avatar rather than see them on my avatar all the time, which is really the point, isn’t it (I mean other than the beautiful pictures, which I’m getting to!)?

Triple Play: FANATIK leather mini

I have no idea what inspired this look. It is inexplicable, but wandering around FaMESHeD and l’accessoires must have been good for me because it resulted in this. Besides, who could resist this new hair from Taketomi?

Style Notes: The leather mini from FANATIK comes in an array of colors from pastels to the dark brown I’m wearing here. You’ll notice on the red one that Musey wears in the last photo that the stitching detail is just divine. It is these small, unnecessary but complimentary details that really make a product stand out. Furthermore, these heels from FANATIK come with a HUD to color change the studs from gold to silver and back again as many times as your (or my) indecisive heart desires (how did they get that many spikes on one shoe?!).

Also, this new hat is from l’accessoires. Get the fatpack. I’m not encouraging you this time; I’m demanding it. The fatpack is 800L and each single hat is 200L. The fatpack contains 8 hats. 8! You do the math on those freshly manicured hands of yours and get back to me on whether or not you bought the fatpack. 🙂

One more thing before we get on to the next picture (which I know is what you are really waiting for). This jacket by Valentina E. is lovely, yes, obviously but also sold separately is a dress which is just as lovely. Take a look. They’re both sold at FaMESHed (hurry before the next round sneaks up on you); they look great together.

Onward!

Triple Play: FANATIK leather mini

Do not be appalled at my fashion judgement! Do not judge me! But…this jacket is not mesh, it is three prim pieces. I know what you’re thinking. I can see it in your eyes and tense lines around your lips but I have three excuses: it matches perfectly, it is cute, aaaaand it was only 100L.  XD

Style Notes: These shoes by JD are amazing. I know, I’ve blogged them before, but just in case you didn’t catch that post (I know you sit and wait at home refreshing my page for hours hoping for a new post but that is beside the point), these shoes come in a few fat packs and each fatpack comes with a HUD so you can change the color details on them. Also, you can remove the flower detail if you so desire. Oh, poor indecisive me.

Et nombre trois:

Triple Play: FANATIK leather mini

Finally, a cardigan. The staple of every wardrobe. In real life I love a cardigan–it is like comfort with buttons (so you don’t look too sloppy).  So, there is no reason not to love these cardigans from TokiD considering how well they’re made. Don’t look at me like that. I know they’ve been around for ages. Can’t I gush over something that I like even if it is old? Sheesh.

Actually, nothing in this outfit is particularly new (except the shoes which come from the new round of Zodiac). It is just a new spin on some old things in my closet. I like the idea of taking a leather mini skirt and tube top (items usually reserved for the club life) and making them casual and sweet.

LotD 96: Almost Androgynous

LotD 96

This could almost be an androgynous post, if I had bothered to change my skin. In fact, I still may consider it to be an androgynous post. Who says androgyny doesn’t come with blushing cheeks? Besides, my goal was never to completely remove all indications of gender, just to neutralize them a bit. I really love this vest by nani Soulstar which is found on the marketplace here and these jeans by Admiral Spicy! are very relaxed a nice contrast to my usual skinny jean (the belt is attached).

LotD 96

Styles Notes:  This vest comes in 3 different patterns (of which I purchased all 3 because they’re so cute and so cheap) and the jeans by Admiral Spicy come in an array of shades to choose from. A HUD comes with the Sneaker Supreme’s by JP:dsg so you can change the color of all the elements including the soles and laces (to the detriment of the indecisive like me).
