To be a unicorn – The Arcade is coming!

“Great heroes need great sorrows and burdens, or half their greatness goes unnoticed. It is all part of the fairy tale.” – Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn

Bloglings, the Arcade is coming and with it your ability to frolic around in fields as a unicorn. Thanks to Swallow for these beautiful horns they are releasing at the opening on the first of December.

Currently, there is also a really nice fundraising event going on called #UnitedAndKind, which is actually supporting four different but very important charities. You can read more about the fundraiser and the charities it is supporting here. At the site there are also some really amazing people going up for auction. So, bid, bid bid…it is all for four very good causes. ❤

Demon. – Kustom9, The Secret Affair, FaMESHed, and MBA

The city was cold. It was not a city she could love, but it was a city which held the comfort of familiarity. It was a familiarity even her own home no longer had. The foreign cities of the surface dwellers were cold and damp. Air and water were indistinguishable here, hanging heavily, making the stone the cities were built from cold and damp. Stone, which to her, had always been warm and dry or molten and flowing. Here it was stolen, transformed. It lay about the city, cut away from the earth, now cold and alone. It was no longer a part of the Earth. Instead it had become exanimate, sad and broken from its home. She understood this rock. She felt cold and displaced here, too.

The stone could not be returned to its place in the Earth; it could not reunite with the Earth again. And she could not return home to a city that had probably forgotten her, to a city she barely remembered, but could still feel along the heated surface of her skin that it was somehow a part of her.

When they had taken her, the surface dwellers had called her a demon. They chained her and whipped her. It took most of her adolescence to fully understand the implications of their religious name-calling (and their language for that matter).

And now, after years of servitude, she was free. Her freedom hung loosely around her neck. The chain of an unheld leash mocking any who think they might be able to control her again. But most of them knew better by now, playing with fire is a dangerous thing for a surface dweller…uneducated, filthy lot that they were.

Hello again, bloglings. A few really great rounds are happening right now. FaMESHed is about to close which is where I picked up the bikini top by Just Because.

Then, at Kustom9, there are these amazing gloves with nails by Violent Seduction. They’re part of a gacha set, but the gloves are one of the commons and the dresses are the rares. So good luck! I just couldn’t stop photographing them; they’re so freakin’ dramatic. That is also where I picked up the collar/leash by Gabriel.

Also! The MBA Bimonthly event is back this month, with this great skirt/bikini bottom from Asteria. It comes with both silver and gold metal options. You can also wear the studded binki with or without the chains and/or fringe. Options!

Aaaaand…don’t forget this round of The Secret Affair. The theme this round is gold and there are some really lovely appliers there. I picked up every single one. In the photo beelow you can see the Nanika eye make up really well, and it looks just beautiful.

Asteria – More We Love Roleplay

The stars sang to her. Sang to her? She didn’t know how else to describe it. Along the surface of her skin she could feel them vibrating, hear them vibrating. It was a slow, desperate dirge. The other fae felt it, too. And some nights it would fill the forest, echoing off ancient trees, thrumming deeply along the walls of their homes. It kept them awake. It overshadowed their serotinal festivities. It was a part of every intimate gathering and couldn’t be escaped even in solitude.

They knew what it meant, but they dared not speak of it. The stars were dying. This was their sad song. They were mourning their own death. Each low, desperate note that played across her skin, tugged at her. So, Asteria wept for the death of her friends. She wept for the loss of future generations. She wept until the stars themselves blessed her and marked her as one of their own children.

“He stared up at the stars: and it seemed to him then that they were dancers, stately and graceful, performing a dance almost infinite in its complexity. He imagined he could see the very faces of the stars; pale, they were, and smiling gently, as if they had spent so much time above the world, watching the scrambling and the joy and the pain of the people below them, that they could not help being amused every time another little human believed itself the center of its world, as each of us does.”
― Neil Gaiman, Stardust

I am always on the search for some dramatic makeup. I think it can really make the appearance of a fantasy character very enigmatic and striking. Some of the best makeup on the grid can be found at SlackGirl, which I am wearing in the above photo. She has appliers for so many different heads as well as system tattoo layers. So, if you aren’t familiar with her store, you should definitely wander around it for a while…you know, if you’re into that sort of thing. But if you weren’t, I can’t imagine you’d still be reading this blog post. 🙂  And just in case you are on the search for dramatic makeup, another favorite brand which I have featured before is Zibska.

As all you lil bloglings know, one of my favorite monthly events is WLRP. And this round was no disappointment. Caboodle released these beautiful silky sashes in fitted mesh for Belleze Venus, Freya, and Isis; Maitreya Lara; and SLink Hourglass and Physique. That is a lot of options! While I was traipsing around WLRP, flitting like the adorable fairy that I am (or at least was at the time), I greedily snatched up the winged headpiece by Astralia. It is beautiful. Then I promptly turned them into new fae wings. To do this, you will need a bit of editing knowledge. However, I think they’re just as lovely large and stuck to my back. 🙂

Assassin: We Love Roleplay and The Project Se7en

It was not the night which chased away the usual traffic that filled the bridge; it was her presence. Standing in the center, she felt the cool night air drift along the surface of her skin, warm with adrenaline, stinging the red gash on her cheek. It was yet another reminder of her weakness and a small smile flirted along the edge of her lips despite the mar along her cheekbone. The thought of her own weakness reassured her that one day she would be stopped.

They did not call on her for her subtlety. It was her conspicuity that they desired. She was known for the impractically tight red dress she wore, high slits along the legs to ease her movements. No one knew if she was called Red because of her dress or if it was the color she wore because of her name; no one dared ask.

She found her way to cities where the lines between politician and criminal did not exist. She came as they beckoned, when they needed an executioner, called upon to eradicate the enemies of politicians and criminals alike. But she also came as an example. That slight smile that crept along her lips was well known and elicited fear. When she walked through crowded cities, there was a swell of murmuring and chatter right before a pall of silence; and the crowds dissipated, people feared simply being in her presence. These crowds repeated the stories of her viciousness when she was not present. They were stories she dared not repeat even to herself, stories she would pretend did not exist. They were stories which crept into the corners of her mind and prevented her from sleeping at night. But she did not deny what she had become, who she now was, and she would wake again tomorrow with the sheen of anxiety still damp on her skin and repeat the stories which echoed in her mind in the sleepless hours of night.

Hello, my lil bloggettes! As many of you know I am a moderator in the Mesh Body Addicts group. I recommend the blog on a daily basis because it is so informative for people entering the market. Periodically, I will be guest posting on their blog featuring some amazing fitmesh for roleplay/fantasy. This was my first post there, please go check it out. http://meshbodyaddicts.com/fantastical-fitmesh/070816-01 (Edit 1)

Elven Coronation – Crystal Heart Fair

She portrayed the poise of her newly attained station. Her head held the heavy crown steadily. But inside, she trembled. She felt her hands fluttering, but they did not move at all as she held the sceptre of her station. Cerulean eyes washed out over the crowed of elves and woodland creatures which gathered in the grove to watch her take the new crown. She wondered if they heard her heart beating; it sounded so incredibly loud in her ears and she was certain in reverberated off the trunks of the large, old trees throughout the ceremonial grove. The burden of her new station weighed heavily upon her, not just the weight of the crown upon her head, but it bore down on her shoulders and weighed in her mind. When she spoke, her voice was mellifluent, words cascaded over crowd like the songs of the night larks. She need not say anything at all, for the audience gathered around and simply listened to the symphony of her voice, letting it flow through the grove the crescendos ebbing and flowing like the cool surf. To them, she was perfect – poise and grace combined with education and humility.

ISON released this gorgeous dress at Crystal Heart Fair, which is a whole event themed around Sailor Moon. There are two versions of the dress available. The light and the dark. Each one comes with six colors. The Crystal Heart Fair ends on July 28th, so don’t forget to stop by. Honestly, there is so much there that is just freakin’ adorable and if you haven’t stopped by, you really should. Even the build is adorable.

Fairy Whispers – Enchantment Final Days

This is a work of fiction. All the characters in it, human and otherwise, are imaginary, excepting only certain of the fairy folk, whom it might be unwise to offend by casting doubts on their existence. Or lack thereof. ~Neil Gaiman

052916-03 (Edit 1).png

Hello, bloglings! Another round of Enchantment is about to close. Even if you’re completely empty on Linden, stop by and enjoy the lovely decor. It is beautifully decorated and themed around Thumbelina. It is adorable. But if you’re there, you might as well pick up this adorable flower dress from Dead Dollz, perfect for your new fae avatar. I know you already have a fae avatar, but one cannot have too many (trust me on this). Cubic Cherry also has this adorable Flower Umbrella, I made it small so my fae is just holding a large flower, but it is so cutes.

And since you’re now on a shopping spree, you might as well stop by The Fantasy Collective for these en pointe ballet heels by Chica Chica. They’re perfect. ❤

Down the Rabbit Hole – The Kawaii Project, Hair Fair, Wayward Carnival

Hello Bloglings! I absolutely love Alice in Wonderland, as cliche as that may be. The word and logic games are terribly fun and it has such a cute cult culture following. Also, the concept of wonderland seems so terribly relevant to SecondLife itself, where things sometimes only make sense within this sphere.

Down the rabbit hole.

So, this round of the Kawaii Project is Wonderland themed. And one of my favorite items this round is a hair with ears from LCKY. I am actually wearing another hair with the ears in this photo, but the set is really lovely. And the ears! They come with an up and down version, and a pierced and non-pierced version. So many options!

I am wearing a lovely tousled hair from Tableau Vivant, which was released at Hair Fair. Hair Fair ends on the 26th, so get your junk together and hop over there if you haven’t already. Stop by each shop and click on the 10 for a giftie from the merchant.

Hop, hop, hop!    There is also this really cute dress from le fil casse at Kawaii. I like that it is really cute but not too lolita-eque. It is really difficult to find a lovely color tattoo, but antielle does work. I have this one that I found at Kawaii below and I also photograph another one last week for my flickr was was quite lovely. Tea?

Poseidon’s Daughter – Collabor88 Mermaid round

They said she was borne of salt water and sand. They said she was borne on the warm and gentle waves that carressed the shore, the very waves that tugged the shore into the sea, eroding it away by beckoning the grains of sand into their depths. They said she controlled the oceans, the power of the seas contained in a single thought that drifted in cavernous labyrinth of her mind. They said she was more powerful than Poseidon’s trident. Of course, they said many things of which they knew little.

The ocean was her prison. Poseidon, jealous of her powers, trapped her there with only the seahorses to keep her company. Hidden away, she could not rival the powers of his trident.

They said she was viciously vengeful. That she awaited and plotted for a moment of escape. And in that moment would be Poseidon’s fall.  He would fall to the those deep and empty eyes. Eyes which he had long since abandoned from fear.

Poseidon's Daughter

Bloglings, I’m still mourning the We Love Roleplay this month. I keep reminding myself that WLRP hasn’t abandoned us, but shall return. I feel dark and lonley and pathetically unadorned in fantasy clothing without it, though.

However, there are TONS of events going on right now. And, though, Collabor88 is not “mermaid” themed, it is “Under the Sea” themed, which I deem to be synonymous…and my deeming is the best kind of deeming there is. Some of the other events that have opened are: Hair Fair!, Indie Teepee, Project Limited, OMGacha, The Secret Affair, The Wizarding Faire…and probably other things that I cannot quite remember.

Solitude – Mizu and We Love Roleplay

I took this picture a few weeks ago. I apologize for my delay in posting. I’ve been really low and have been finding it difficult to find the energy and the desire to do much of anything. An upswing is certainly on the way, though. I do miss mah lil bloglings!

Solitude - Mizu and We Love Roleplay
Solitude – Mizu and We Love Roleplay

Mizu is this lovely event that recently opened. Not only are there beautiful things there to purchase, but there is a storyline to follow. Put on the HUD and experience the story; it is lovely. All the details and the LM are on Mizu‘s website (in both Japanese and English). While there, I grabbed this lovely kimono by Silvery K and a few deco items. The kimoni is really beautifully made.

Also, still going is the June round of We Love Roleplay. Tableau Vivant made lovely hair, as usual. It is long and chunky; she calls them faux dreads. These pavers from Stormwood are also being released this month. They are beautifully textured, come with different configurations and each has a grass version (which I love).

Into the Sky - Pumec, The Forge, and Zibska for We Love Roleplay
Into the Sky – Pumec, The Forge, and Zibska for We Love Roleplay

We Love Roleplay opened today! That means tons of new goodies for everyone! First there is this absolutely beautiful skin from Pumec. It comes with appliers for everyfuckingthing. It is crazy. I’ve never worn a Pumec skin before but their applier HUDs are full of awesome. So awesome that I needed to share them with you. This is their two HUDs, one for bodies and one for heads:

Pumec mesh body and skin appliers HUD
Pumec mesh body and skin appliers HUD

So you can see all the amazing options and the simplicity of having one HUD. Although, you probably only have one body. What is the point in having six or twenty? >.< I can’t imagine anyone who would buy that many mesh bodies….just ridiculous. *hides*

Broken Shadows - Souzou Eien at We Love Rolelay
Broken Shadows – Souzou Eien at We Love Rolelay

Souzou Eien also released these really adorable imp wings and horns. There is a color change HUD for the lil gems on the wings. Kawaii succubus ftw!
