Mon Tissu Blogger Search Entry

I’m not featuring anything especially new today, what I’m featuring is taking things and reusing them. Walking through a store that you’ve walked through a million times before and finding new ways to wear it or new things to wear it with. Sometimes, that can be even more exciting than new releases. Well, maybe AS exciting as new releases. I do love new releases, afterall.

So, today, I took a flowing tanktop from mon tissu and put it over a rigid business shirt. Instead of using the collar from the business shirt, I utilized a collar from epoque as well as a cute bow tie. I absolutely love bags and mon tissu’s Sophomore Satchel in floral matched perfectly.

Stay tuned for the credits:

Color Challenge 22: Cobalt

I only do the color challenges randomly, but they are still fun. Here is my cobalt. The dress is from coldLogic and comes with a belt, but I replaced it with Nemesis’. Nemesis is closing for an indefinite period of time at the end of the month (if I recall correctly), so pick up anything you may need in the next day or so. I’m always finding accessories there that perfectly compliment my outfits.

LotD 15: Modern Gypsy

LotD 15: Modern Hippie

Excluding the thick belt, this is actually something I would wear around in the summer. Long skirts and tank tops with flip-flops are the definition of summer to me. I like the way hot breezes blow the cool fabric against your legs when you’re walking in the park or around town. I just have to lather on the suntan lotion, cause I’m fairer than a dove.

Only with the advent of mesh have I been wearing long skirts, before they were simply annoyances. This skirt by bilo is partial rigged mesh and the textures blend beautifully. I chose the dress from bilo as well, but am only wearing the top piece.

LotD 9: Cotton Candy

LotD 9: Cotton Candy

Though I like to challenge gender stereotypes on a regular basis, I can’t help the fact that I am *very* stereotypically girly. It creeps up on me at the most unexpected times and embarrasses me when I’m trying to be intellectual and sophisticated. It is the deep, dark secret of a cartoon fashionista who fancies herself a feminist philosopher in another life or in all lives. Maybe I should be more like Popeye, “I yam who I yam.”

Anyhow, I love this blue skirt. It is one of my favorite colors (I’m sure you’ll start seeing a pattern of pale bluish tones). It may be a system skirt (don’t groan at me) but it is beautifully made and looks amazing. I paired it with another top from Ingenue and belted it (of course, I did, I always belt things).

LotD 3: Ready for Dictation

I love, love, love pencil skirts and these pencil skirts from mon tissue are so well made. I know they’ve been around for a while, but my new goal is to start reusing items in my closet and creating new outfits from clothes that have long been in the recesses of my inventory. The body suit from Nemesis comes with the cowl neck with different bead options. Also, the back has a beautiful sketch detail.
